10 Most Insta Worthy spots in Jaipur

Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, is one of the most photogenic places in India. This gorgeous pink city is filled with instagrammable spots in every corner and you will be inspired by the colors, food, culture and textures all around the city. No wonder this is one of the most photographed cities in the country! All the picture locations are not only visually stunning but are also brimming with history. The royal heritage can be felt throughout the city and there are endless stories behind every structure.

Jaipur is bright colors, beautiful palaces, incredible hospitality, stunning forts, royal tales, delicious food and so much more! If you are planning a visit to the pink city Jaipur and are looking for the best insta worthy photo locations, you have come to the right place. While there are many amazing locations, here is my list of 10 best instagrammable spots in the Jaipur.

1. Hawa Mahal

The Hawa Mahal is one of the most iconic spots to visit during your trip to Jaipur. This palace has 953 tiny windows and was built for royal women to watch the festivities in the street below without being seen. The best way to view and take pictures of the Hawa Mahal is from the rooftops of the two cafes opposite to it – Wind view cafe and Tattoo cafe. Also for good lighting on your pictures, visit this place anytime before noon!

2. Patrika Gate

I call this place the rainbow of Jaipur! If you’re looking for insta-worthy spots in Jaipur, this place should be number one on your list!! The vibrant colors and magnificent architecture of this gate are an absolute delight. This is the ninth gate in the pink city and has an array of beautifully coloured archways. Each archway is decorated with Rajasthani culture and history such as the popular forts, palace, rulers, handicrafts, jewellery and more! Though this is a relatively new structure, it’s my favorite one in Jaipur.

City Palace

The next four photo spots are located in the City Palace. This palace dates back to 1727 and is the current residence of the Royal family. You can either choose to visit just the museum and the exterior of the palace of ₹200 or take the royal grandeur package that allows access to the private chambers and comes with a private tour guide at a cost of ₹3000. We took the royal grandeur package and it is 100% worth it!

3. The Lotus Gate, City Palace

This beautifully crafted gate with stunning floral patterns represents the summer season. The city palace has 3 other equally gorgeous gates depicting the spring, monsoon and winter seasons!

4. Chavi Niwas, City Palace

Another favorite spot in the City palace is the Chavi Niwas. The moment I saw some pictures of this gorgeous blue room on instagram, I knew that I had to visit it! This room is a part of the private chambers of the palace and is still used by the royal family during festivities. Though the ticket to visit these private chambers is priced 10x the normal museum and courtyard ticket, it’s totally worth it!! Isn’t this absolutely stunning?

5. Shoba Niwas, City Palace

This grand room is decorated with real gold and glasswork and is used by the royal family to celebrate festivals, especially diwali! This room is also featured in multiple films.

6. Diwan-e-Khas, City Palace

The central courtyard of the city palace, Diwan-e-Khas, was a place where all important ceremonies among officials and royals were conducted. The iconic pink color and the symmetric archways make this another popular picture spot in the city palace.

Amer fort

You will have drive about 11kms from the Jaipur city center for the next 3 photo spots that are located in the beautiful Amer Fort! This fort with its rich history, incredible workmanship and stunning views, is a must-see place during your visit to Jaipur! It’s architecture is a beautiful combination of Rajput and Mughal styles. Make sure to hire a guide when your visit this fort. This place is packed with a lot of history and it’s amazing to learn about these stories. An added perk is that, your guide will also show you the most insta-worthy locations and picture angles 🙂

7. Amer Fort Overlook

While I loved exploring the fort and palace itself, this overlook with the view of the fort on the hill top from a distance is one of my favorite spots in Jaipur. Make sure to stop here and get a picture before you head to the main entrance.

8. Diwan-e-Aam, Amer Fort

Diwan e Aam, also known as the Hall of Public Audiences, is where to king used to meet with important people. I fell in love with the perfect symmetry, beautiful colourful palette and instagrammable archways. Make sure to get there early during its opening time around 9AM if you want to do a photoshoot . This place is otherwise very crowded. We went around 11AM and it took us almost 15-20 minutes to capture this shot without people in the background.

9. Taj Rambagh Palace

Our stay at the Rambagh palace was nothing short of living the royal life! This palace was the original residence of the Jaipur royal family and it is now converted into a luxury hotel. But the management has ensured to keep the rich cultural heritage and the history of the place intact. The beautiful historical suites, grand dining rooms, acres of beautiful gardens and hundreds of peacocks roaming around the properly took us into a completely different world! This beautiful palace hotel is also packed with many instagrammable spots. I can’t wait to go back to this place to experience the royal hospitality again.

10. Cafe Palladio

I came across this cafe through the recommendations given to me by my Instagram community! Love this about the platform. This instagram perfect cafe not only has pretty pastel backgrounds and vibe for pictures but also serves some amazing food! Do make sure to visit this spot on your Jaipur trip for a coffee or bruch!

So here is my list of the 10 most insta worthy spots in Jaipur. Which one was your favorite? Know a pretty spot in Jaipur that’s not in my list? Let me know in the comments section below. Happy Exploring!
