One of my most favorite things about living in Midwest is that we get to experience all the four seasons! And of all the seasons, winter wonderland is the most magical one. If you live in a place where it snows or if you are visiting one for a vacation, here are some easy snow photoshoot ideas to try out! Snow makes for the most dreamy background and you can also have a lot of fun while taking some pictures in the snow.
We always planned trips to places during the non winter months so that we can explore more without being bothered by the snow or the cold! I’ve seen snow on many mountain peaks over the last few years during our travels but I somehow never got to experience snowfall until I moved to Michigan 🌨☃️ And even now, every time it snows, I find it absolutely magical and have the most fun creating snow content ❄️ So without any further delay, let’s get into the quick and fun snow picture ideas.
1. The flying scarf shot
This is one my favourite snow picture ideas. You would need the help of a friend and some patience to capture this picture, but this trending snow photoshoot pose is worth the effort!
2. Make a snow heart
Have some fun making a snow heart to capture a precious snow moment. I made this one without using any tools but you can find a snow heart maker to make a better heart.
3. Capture a winter fairytale moment in a pretty dress
Though you might freeze while doing a snow photoshoot in a dress, the end results are very dreamy. So bring along a dress or a flowy skirt to a hike or wherever to add a little magic to your snow pictures.
4. Take a picture with your favorite winter drink
Sipping hot chocolate topped with marshmallows is one of my favourite things to do on a snowy winter day. Using a cute mug and posing with your favourite drink is another easy idea to add to your snow photoshoot list!
5. Throw some snow in the air and have fun
Add some movement to your winter pictures by throwing some snow in the air. Make sure not to hold the snow too tightly else it’ll clump together.
6. Find a pretty snow covered road
Bring in those winter wanderlust vibes to your pictures by just standing in the middle of a pretty snow covered road. Explore your neighbourhood! You never know what pretty spots you will come across.
7. A classic white over white shot
A white over white snow shot is always a classic. You can also add some cute fur accessories for that extra pop in the picture.

- Hold a giant snowball
- Pose while doing some winter activities: skiing, snowboarding , snow-tubing
